Draw an outline of a colouring page, bookmark and/or a button template for the North Perth Public Library and get volunteer hours! 

Receive 8 volunteer hrs for one full outline of a colouring page, 4 hrs for a bookmark outline, 2 hrs for a button outline. Please use libraries, community, and/or exploration/adventure as the theme(s) for your creation. 

Must be completed outside of school hours and have already graduated grade 8. 

Colouring page must be 8.5x11 inches

Bookmark must be 2x6 inches

Button must be roughly 1.5x1.5 inches

Submissions can be dropped off in person at any North Perth Public Library branch, or digitally using this link

Please note: NPPL staff may use their discretion if adequate standards are not met in entries submitted.

Connection Corner is here to be that safe, cozy, and connective space where you can come with your child/children and  be intentional with your time together.
Each month will be geared around a theme and set up with related books, activities, games, and opportunities to have fun and connect. A joyful time to be present and playful.

A drop in "Choose Your Own Adventure" with Case Closed and the NPPL! This is an interactive, yell-out-loud reading adventure that is bound to be anything but boring!!

Celebrate Earth Day with us!! Sign up your child to receive a FREE tree to plant. 

This initiative is to help beautify our surroundings, lessen our carbon footprint, and help spread the magic, wonder, and love for our planet.

Registration is available now and will run until March 15, and pick up for your tree is April 22 at the Listowel Branch.

We are welcoming published poet Roshan James as our celebrity judge and will have community voting to determine the two winners from each category. 

Community voting will take place from April 1 - 17 in the Listowel Branch. Please come on in and vote for your favourite poems! 

Please note: paper copies will be accepted, however digital submissions are preferred for accessibility purposes! 

Submission portal opening on March 1. 

 

YOU'RE INVITED!!

Join for a night of mocktails, snacks, poems, and music! Drop by the Listowel Branch on April 30 at 6pm!! 

Event is in collaboration with the Exclusive Music Academy and will feature published poet Roshan James. 

Open Mic sign up times will be available March 1 for any poet wanting to share their poems to the guests! 

Grab a kit to craft at home! Available at all three branches beginning March 1 and until quantities last. No holds, first come, first serve. 

Come into Monkton Branch on a Thursday night in March for NHL fun!! We will have the ps5 going and it'll be the perfect activity while at the arena for hockey!!

Initiative runs from Saturday March 8-15 during each branch's open hours! 

Turn a book into art! Bring your own or use some of ours to get crafty and creative with books. 

Please note: these books will not be readable after you're finished! They will be decorative and not functional, so if you are bringing books, please keep this in mind.

Draw from the X box of error and find out what famous inventions began as mistakes. Spin the wheel of mistakes and learn how to turn misfortune into hysterical memories. Bring your inner actor and prepare to have fun.

This program is for ages 8+ as if requires precise scissor work! 

Join us on your March Break for an interactive and engaging session with Pawley's Reptiles!

Most of these animals can be touched or held, while others that are more fragile will be displayed in clear plastic containers. A wide variety of animals come for the show including bearded dragons, spiny tailed lizards, geckos, chameleons, skinks, monitor lizards, boas, pythons, colubrid snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, turtles, tortoises, and many more!
